The second week of each month is quickly turning into my favourite week. My reason? My Little Box subscription arrives, of course! This month it even arrived a little early, perfect considering it’s my birthday month. Arriving home from a long (ill) Thursday at work, this was a very welcome treat to come home to. This month’s Friday Night theme brought all the goodies a girl could ask for, read on for a cheeky peek!
First up, the box was designed and presented beautifully (as always). The artwork just inside had me even more excited for a good night out with the girls as soon as I’m feeling better! Reading the ‘four people you meet at every party’ note had me instantly reminiscing about the times I would reluctantly order myself a pricey Jagerbomb, only to discover it was 3 for £5 and order them for everyone in sight. I am most likely the philanthropist, it seems…
My Little Box- Beauty
This box had some of my favourite beauty items yet. This gorgeous nail colour from NailMatic is the perfect shade of teal for Summer. I couldn’t resist applying it straight away and was happy to find it actually only needed one coat. I’m always running out of time to do my nails so this is a huge plus. I can’t wait to try the eye-pencil and smudger, by My Little Beauty, to create a good smoky eye. Again, I just love the design, plus it’s got a waterproof formula! Last up in the beauty section of the box, was body lotion by Baija, Paris. This was also in Birchbox recently, and I was gutted that I’d missed out. So, yay! Now I haven’t! It leaves skin lovely and soft, and doesn’t have that horrible, oily feel to it. Also, the smell takes me right back to my childhood in France, using my Auntie’s luxury cosmetics. Plus, at €13.90 I’ve pretty much made my money back already!
This month’s My Little Box contained two adorable fashion pieces. The first is a triangle hair pin, which I will be using to put my hair in a cute top-knot (as soon as I get it cut a little shorter, that is).
The second is a pretty bow… For your bra! At first I was super-confused by this. But on reflection, and thanks to the little card, it’s a brilliant idea. You thread the bra strap into the loop of the bow, and it swiftly turns an unsightly strap into an accessory on an open-back piece of clothing. Perfect!
This box didn’t have many lifestyle items but, with a theme of Friday Night, I wouldn’t expect any less! A set of pretty coasters was included, in gorgeous pastel colours. This was a lovely addition in keeping with the theme. The set was completed with some great cocktail recipes, including a non-alcoholic recipe, although I was caught out by the line ‘we knew you couldn’t wait until Friday’. Oops!
So, overall, My Little Box was fab again this month. I can’t wait for my next instalment!
